Historic Thames

Come and join Island Cruises for an amazing journey through time as we work our way from Queenborough on the river Swale, past the old Sheerness naval base opened in the 1660’s out on to the River Medway and on to Thames Sea Reach, we pass the SS Richard Montgomery with her cargo of unexploded munitions, past the point Amy Johnsons aircraft came down on the 5th January 1941, onto the eerie abandoned Redsand Forts occupied during the 2nd world war by the British Army, through to the Shoebury boom, defending the Thames from submarines in the second world war and the Russian subs of the cold war. great for the family, look out for the for porpoises and seals during the cruise. we have a fully stocked bar on board with toilet facilities.
